The service is that of a grant researcher, compose letters of inquiry (L O I), and complete the grant application. I'm a retired educator. I spent 32 years in the classroom as an elementary school instructor. A year after retiring I was the site coordinator of an after school program. During my tenure as the site coordinator I became an adjunct professor at a private university in Delaware. I supervised teacher-interns. Since the late fall of 2018 I have read numerous books about grant writing. I have attended several live seminars taught by distinguished certified professional grant writers and consultants. I have been doing some volunteer grant writing internship for a non-profit, LifeSmart Education, in Ohio since August of 2020. I have written numerous successful letters of inquiry(L O I) for the non-profit in addition to drafting successful grants for their educational programs and COVID-19 relief funds for daily operations. December 5th of 2020 I was chosen to participate in a grant readers Zoom Panel sponsored by The Women's Fund of Central Ohio. Our group of 7 read, critiqued, and scored three grants that were actually being submitted for consideration. I belong to the Grant Professional Association(GPA) and I'm also a member of our local chapter, The Delmarva Chapter. On December 21, 2020 I assisted our chapter president in applying for and submitting a GPA Chapter Mini-Grant. I'm sure success in obtaining funding for your non-profit and fulfilling your mission statement is very important to you. Therefore I will be using all my skills , resources, and dedication to making it become a reality.
