WRITING SUCCESSFUL GRANT PROPOSALS

I have read your job posting for a grant writer. I feel I am a great choice for this position even though my practice in the field has only been on an intern basis in 2020. Over the past eighteen months I have read books about grant writing such as: Grant Writing Business by Entrepreneur Press, Guide to Proposal Writing by The Foundation Center, Making Your Grant Proposal Competitive from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs(ECA)as well as grant educational writing material from The Grantsmanship Center, and Charity How To. I have attended live webinars taught by Diane Leonard a highly regarded certified professional grant writer consultant. Since August of 2020 I have been doing a volunteer grant writer internship at a non-profit called LifeSmart Education in Ohio. I have written numerous successful letters of inquiry(LOI)and drafted successful grants for the non-profit for their educational programs and COVID-19 relief funds for operation. Grants I've assisted in drafting have been submitted to Key Bank, Third Fifth Bank, United Way of Central Ohio, Grant Makers for Girls of Color, Tom E. Dailey Foundation, and The Huntington Bank Grant. I was selected by The Women's Fund of Central Ohio in December of 2020 to participate in a grant readers zoom panel. Our group of 7 read, critiqued, and scored three grants that were actually being submitted to The Women Fund of Central Ohio. On November 23 of 2020 I became a member of the Grant Professional Association.(GPA) I'm also a member of our local chapter The Delmarva Chapter. During the week of December 21 I assisted our chapter president in applying for and submitting a GPA Chapter Mini-Grant.
Through these experiences I've listed above I have gained extensive knowledge of the grant making and writing process. I will be dedicated to creating the most compelling and complete grant that I hope will bring much success to your non-profit as you fulfill your mission statement. Thanks.

Work Terms

Hours of operation are 5 days a week, 6 hours per day with flexible payment options.
I am equipped to support remote opportunities and communication can be in the form of phone and/or email.
