I help organizations strategize on the most effective ways to impact our broken healthcare system. I’m a results driven, versatile business professional with 5 years experience working with some of the top minds in the fields of data science and medical research. Pipeline development, requirements gathering and stakeholder management are my main fields of expertise. I’m also highly proficient in academic research and writing: I’ve been the primary author on several Request for Proposals (RFPs), research abstracts, grants and IRB-approved research protocols. My deep understanding of the healthcare system helps me build solutions to complex health data problems for a myriad of organizations, including hospitals. I’ve worked primarily in the startup environment, and maintain a “jack-of-all-trades” approach to help fledgling companies address a broad spectrum of problems. In my past life, I occupied the following positions: HIPAA Compliance Officer, Data Scientist, QA Engineer, Medical Record Retrieval Specialist, and Business Development Manager. My passion is health data. I’m a primary source data nerd, fascinated by the intersection between technology, treatment and research. Information technology in medicine is balanced on a precipice—barriers to interoperable data, along with archaic information governance structures, stand opposed to the acceptance of disruptive technologies into the landscape of health IT. Thankfully, an impending sea change cometh. As silos of health data become liberated and eventually harmonized into an ecosystem of information, organizations positioned to capitalize on the new information economy will be responsible for determining industry practice and policy. My goal is to guide these pioneering organizations by imparting my experience from the front lines of health IT innovation. I offer a “free-trial” to new clients (up to 8hrs) because I am confident in my ability to deliver a work product beyond expectation.
