Proofreading is a very detail-oriented task that will assure your manuscript is free of errors in grammar, spelling and punctuation. Proofreading does not include advice about content flow or reorganization or rewording. Sometimes you just need a fresh pair of eyes to catch those important errors that somehow were missed. I am that fresh pair of eyes, with 30 years of experience as a writer, editor and proofreader. My fee goes by the number of words in your document: Three cents per word. So if your document is 500 words, my proofreading fee is $15. The site requires a minimum of $25, but I am quite willing to do a quick 500-word proof for $15.

    Mary did a really excellent job on a very complicated book with 550 pages of text. She was very timely (in fact, came in quite a bit earlier than the deadline she set as possible). She caught things that none of the (several) other writers and editors caught. I was very impressed. She did miss a few things, but very few. Considering the massive amount of text, various sections and 'text-boxes' written from different perspectives, and the complexity of different voices in the text, I have to rate her a "Five all-around." i will definitely use her again in other projects that edit the written word! Great job, lady! Thank you!!
