I am a Ph.D. scientist offering services in scientific (academic and technical) editing, emphasizing readability and flow, clarity, and formal and objective style. Document formats include MS Word, LaTeX, and OpenDocument (ODF). As an expert in my field, I have served as a peer reviewer for many international journals including Applied Geochemistry, Chemical Geology, Clays and Clay Minerals, Environmental Science & Technology, Geochimica et Cosmochimca Acta, Geoderma, International J. of Environmental Research and Public Health, J. Asian Earth Sciences, J. Chemistry, J. Ecology and the Natural Environment, J. Environmental Management, J. Geochemical Exploration, and Mathematical Geology. I have also reviewed for funding agencies (such as the Petroleum Research Fund), and textbook publishers (such as Prentice Hall). As an educator, I have taught scientific writing as a part of advanced undergraduate courses at universities including Penn State, Notre Dame, and Washington & Lee. Particular emphasis was placed on structure and organization, formal and precise writing, clarity, and style.
