Independent Geoscientist (Ph.D.)
I am an independent Ph.D. Geoscientist with deep expertise in Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Environmental Geochemistry, and related areas, who has been programming scientific software since 1992.
I am especially skilled at conceptual and mathematical modeling of hydrologic and hydrogeochemical processes.
I have been computer programming for over 30 years, and have been doing scientific programming since 1992. In addition to working as a Geoscientist, I taught Computer Science and Mathematics at Penn State for several years. I am especially experienced at writing code for scientific modeling, data analysis and data processing.
I also offer services in professional scientific editing. I have professionally edited hundreds of scientific manuscripts, covering topics including geology, geophysics, geochemistry, hydrology, environmental engineering, environmental chemistry, soil science and other earth and atmospheric sciences.
As an expert in my field, I have served as a peer reviewer for many international journals including Applied Geochemistry, Chemical Geology, Clays and Clay Minerals, Environmental Science & Technology, Geochimica et Cosmochimca Acta, Geoderma, International J. of Environmental Research and Public Health, J. Asian Earth Sciences, J. Chemistry, J. Ecology and the Natural Environment, J. Environmental Management, J. Geochemical Exploration, and Mathematical Geology. I have also reviewed for funding agencies (such as the Petroleum Research Fund), and textbook publishers (such as Prentice Hall).
As a resourceful out-of-the-box thinker with a strong background and strong credibility, I am well equipped to take on the most challenging consulting tasks
