As the only U.S. Government-Certified Spanish Translator currently on Guru.com, I provide Editing and Correction Services on all text types that have been previously translated from either English to Spanish or from Spanish to English. I must say that 100 percent of the correction and editing type work that I handle in relation to text that has been previously translated from either Spanish to English or English to Spanish involves one of the following: 1)The use of translation software by the translator you previously hired; or 2) Unbeknownst to you, the translator whom you hired having outsourced your material to a third party or team member whose qualifications turned out to be less than those represented to you by the translator whom you hired and whom you thought would be handling your translation; or 3) Having hired a translator who represented him or herself to you to be a "low/bargain-priced" translator who took your money and left you with a translation that upon review you discovered to be lacking in accuracy or quality and with material that you are no longer sure you will be able to use as you had previously planned prior to having hired them to handle the translation project for you. You have to agree that in the scenarios that I describe above, the issue that has brought you to the stage that you currently are in--looking for someone whom you can trust to provide you with the quality and accurate translation that you hoped to get, involves a translator who either did not have the necessary education or knowledge to provide you with the high-quality translation that you deserve; or a translator who saw an opportunity to make quick and easy money from you via the use of software or the outsourcing of your material. In either case, if you have previously-translated material that you would like to have me review for accuracy in terms of context and possible loss of intended message, I can review it and correct it for you.
