On matters of creativity and spirituality, the two go hand in hand. If I'd been able to make my own major, it would have been "Philosophy of Creativity". That basically means that I see the act of creativity as one of the most powerful ways to exercise our free will and push our own evolution, both individually and collectively. Teaching people how to not only be creative for themselves, but how to appreciate the works of other artists, is one way for me to contribute something meaningful to society. Creativity isn't just limited to art, either. Creativity is just one word that means "giving yourself the freedom to make mistakes and learn from them". That's pretty much what I learned in four and a half years of art school, and it's something I am still working at. Whether it's about fine art, gardening, floral design, parenting, writing, or spirituality, I want to write articles which spark your reader's curiosity, and encourage them to give themselves permission to go beyond what they know, to be creative, to allow for mistakes as part of the plan that pushes us into the greater version of ourselves.
