I have expertise in the field of technical writing and specifically in electrical and mechanical engineering. I also have a diploma in freelance journalism from the Briish College of Journalism I am also an educator and instrctor in engineering. I instruct my own classes and also freelancce for other organisations. One of the courses I instruct onlne for the 'Engineering Institute of Technology (Australia) is 'Specification and Tecchnical Writing'. I write: I am also skilled in electrical and mechanical engineering design and projects with special interest in renewable and sustainable energy systems, namely, solar, hydro, wind, steam and biogas systems. Based on the answers to a questionnaire that I send clients I will carry out a preliminary feasibility study in which I will indicate if the project is worth pursuing. If so, I will produce a complete design based on information supplied, such as site information, photos, and site visits as may be required. Designs will be suitable for private dwellings, office blocks and small to medium sized factories. The documentation I supply will be suitable for tender purposes. I will also assist in the adjudication of tenders. Biogas (methane) power schemes are suitable for places such as livestock farms where there is nimal waste (manure) available to generate methane rich gas which can be burnt to generate heat, or used as fuel for internal combustion engines. Steam can be generated where there is combustible waste, such as sawdust and off cuts at a sawmill. The steam can be used to drive steam engines or turbines.
