After conducting extensive research on several websites dedicated to soccer events, news and commentary, this author found that many famous athletes have played in previous World Cups— but no one ever acknowledges these lesser-known players who never make it past early elimination rounds!  Although many consider soccer a sport rather than a game, it has become very popular around the world due to its accessibility, excitement and camaraderie among players and spectators alike. By organizing massive sports tournaments like FIFA’s World Cup, organizers help bring together different countries from around the globe through camaraderie shared through their favorite sport!
