There was a point in my life when I declared a discipline in Arts and Humanities; I had the intention to attend graduate school and major in Literature! However, when I found myself raising two children without any support then I reconsidered my interest in English Literature and proceeded to major in Human Services. For 18 years, I was Direct Support Professional, I was a Job Coach, I was an advocate for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. During this time I continued my education and worked for a system that would sustain my family throughout the years. Now, the time has come to share my gift as a writer and having two decades of experience, I believe, is the perfect attribute for this particular discipline.
