I believe video games are art and what I want to do most is to create art, to offer new and enticing experiences to players
Ever since I was a child I've wanted to make games. I started by inventing my own board games and puzzle games as a child and later became a PC gamer which sparked my interest for video games. Unfortunately, due to unfavorable social, financial and familial circumstances at the time I could not pursue my passion and I had to attend and graduate from the Politechnics Institute of Bucharest with a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication and Information Technology.
After awhile I rediscovered my passion for games and I decided to pick up where I had left off a few years prior. I started working in game development with Unity in early 2015 and now have over 5 years of experience in developing iOS and Android casual games, both in 2D and in 3D, and I have eventually moved to PC development.
At my previous workplace, my main tasks were to conceive and implement the game mechanics, scoring and reward systems, to implement in-app purchases and integrate ads. I have developed strong skills in working with the Unity physics system, UI, Mecanim animation system, and I am able to write clear, optimized C# code. I also have experience in adapting a game for various mobile devices, optimization, integration of third party SDKs for ads, IAP, analytics, implementation of multiplayer with Photon Unity Networking, Firebase integration with cloud functions.
I have decided to become a freelancer in order to work on more varied projects, to encounter different challenges and to hone my skills by overcoming new obstacles.
Work Terms
Hours of Operation:
- avg. of 30h/week at any required time of day
Billing details:
- $20/h fee. I will give out bills and I wish to receive payment via bank transfer
Communication:
- preferably Skype but I can adapt to any means of online communication
