Communications & Marketing Executive
Beginning in the area of market research when I was fifteen, I have since spent my professional life working in communications, project management, marketing and advertising. In 2008, as the Director of Marketing for a local business, I was an early adopter of social media for businesses. Seeing the potential for engagement with consumers via these platforms, I created an in-house monetization tracking program to prove her theory. My efforts were then successfully replicated for multiple service-based businesses in the area leading to the creation of my first social media marketing agency.
Founding Parker Xavier Consulting in September 2014, my work centers on creating and administering best practices in communications for clients and crafting strategic creative based on behavioral and demographic data. By keeping continuously abreast of emerging developments and innovations, my business partner and I attended learning sessions on the Latino population, leading me to begin to become fluent in Spanish to serve this population over the following years. The COVID-19 Pandemic tested this new knowledge set, and I facilitated the role of Public Information Officer. Working with multiple teams: Incident Command, the Hospital Crisis Management Team, and the In-House Communications Team, I further provided crisis communications that met the needs of all publics, including translation of all assets into Spanish.
I am a summa cum laude graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. While at IU, I began research into intergenerational communications on social media. My future plans include continuing this education and research through pursuing dual Masters, MBA and Masters of Science Marketing, via the prestigious IU Kelley School of Business.
