Coding to your vision; automating your process; branding your design.
After years of software development, marketing, and distribution for a start-up company, I have decided to try freelancing as a consultant, a software and web developer, and a graphic designer. I am hoping freelancing provides the challenge I am seeking; solving problems and creating solutions across many subjects.
My educational background follows this principal of broad learning and application. I earned a bachelor of Arts degree in both English and Mathematics while at Carleton College in Northfield, MN. In my math courses, I focused on applied subjects, such as statistics, probability, and differential equations. In English, I focused on american authors and creative writing. My goal with my degree was to prepare me for as many kinds of work as possible, and I believe I succeeded.
Out of college, I have worked for Georgica Software LLC as a programmer. There, I have created a platform for algorithmic financial trading, restructuring the trading engine, designing the front-end interfaces by hand, and documenting its API. Distributing the platform has been both exciting and fulfilling. I would like to use my acquired programming skills, my business experience, and my education to produce more unique solutions as a freelancer.
I would love to hear about your idea for your website, app, or software. Please contact me if you would like to discuss your project, my qualifications, or any other opportunities.
