I've turned into the help desk at work and now I'm here to be your help desk for your communication and special needs with Word and Excel.
My professional work experience started as a reporter/editor for six years with United Press International in Detroit where I handled breaking news and wrote features that have been published around the world. One of Michigan's largest cities then convinced me to become its mayoral press secretary. I was responsible for press releases and being a spokesman for the city. After six years in that role, I was hired at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan where I held several positions, including media relations coordinator, sales training leader, administrative manager and manager of business development. In my spare time, I continue to work as a freelance reporter for the Associated Press in Michigan. My strengths are writing, editing, Microsoft Word and Excel, and I also have a vast knowledge base around sports, music and technology.
Work Terms
I do most of my freelance work in the late afternoon and evenings. I am very flexible and easy to negotiate with.
