My writing, editing, proofreading, and document formatting will make you shine!
I am an excellent writer, editor, and proofreader, having been employed as an editor and proofreader in the legal and medical fields and for a philosophy journal. I worked in the legal field for more than 25 years, the last 17 of which were spent working for a state supreme court justice. My specialties were medical malpractice, personal injury, and family law cases. My employers always sent me to interview clients and witnesses because as they said, I have the common touch. I'm not sure they meant it as a compliment, but I certainly took it as one.
In my "spare" time, I work with dogs, occasionally make jewelry, and write. I am currently writing a book on attention deficit disorder, which will probably never be completed but provides me with something to continue to research and to enjoy writing.
Now for the more specific information:
Along with a love of research, I have a great deal of layman's knowledge in law and medicine, a good grasp of history, and a fair amount of knowledge of the world's major religions, including many pagan sects. College courses included many hours in philosophy, psychology, sociology, history, grammar and composition, English literature, journalism, and creative writing. I have good insight into character, personality, and behavior and a wide range of knowledge and experience that enables me to view and understand documents in context. I am familiar with prescriptive and descriptive grammar, spelling, idiom, colloquial expressions, and sentence, paragraph, and composition structure.
Let me help you. If you're stuck on how to say something, I can make suggestions and edit your writing. If you've written it, I can proofread it. If you need it in a specific format for presentation, I can format it for you. If you want to publish it, I can help you through the process and make your document press-quality. Call on me.
Work Terms
I am available almost anytime. In most circumstances, I don't require a deposit prior to working on a job. I only expect payment when the work is done to your satisfaction. I prefer to communicate in writing, so I have a record of instructions.
