Paralegal on demand.
I was born and raised on an island in the Puget Sound, and moved to Utah during my final years of high school which is why I have law experience in both states, having convinced my spouse, even for a few years, to allow us to live back in Washington.
I have worked in law for 6 years from administrative for the Driver License Division in Utah to family law with the State of Washington Attorney General's office to criminal defense in the State of Utah. I do have my Legal Assistant certificate from the State of Washington Attorney General's office, but it is not the equivalent of an associates. I have learned all I know on the job having spent as much time as a paralegal as one would going to school.
Law is my passion, but criminal defense is my love.
Work Terms
My hours of operation are flexible as I am willing to negotiate them.
For jobs withing Salt Lake and Utah counties I am willing to come into the offices when jobs call for it so long as I have sufficient notice.
I am willing to do everything from front office work such as correspondence to clients, closure letters, retainers, to reviewing arrest tapes, transcribing hearings, and writing motions if I have the opportunity to review an attorney's previous writings so I may understand their cadence. I do like to review each attorney's various types of motions, i.e. Appearance of Counsel, Request for Jury Trial, Entrance of a Not Guilty plea as each does them differently.
I do expect the ability to remote into the case management system to review cases, log my work, and become familiar with the firm's workings.
