A commitment to bringing your story to life
I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona in Creative Writing, before moving to Los Angeles, to pursue a career in screenwriting.
After working in the film industry as a Production Assistant, I attended Chapman University's film production program, where I received my Masters of Fine Art degree.
Since graduating, I have won several awards for my thesis film entitled, "The Ballad of Breaking George," the story of an estranged father who is forced to convalesce in his son's home after suffering a debilitating back injury.
Several of my screenplays have been optioned and currently, I have three projects in development.
In Hollywood they say, "It all begins with the story." Without a story, the director has nothing to shoot, the actors have nothing to act and the producers have nothing to sell. I believe this is a big market, with room for everyone to tell a good compelling story. My years of experience both in crafting stories and dealing with the film industry give me not only a unique voice, but a deep understanding of what it takes to write a marketable screenplay.
Work Terms
I work with either advance payments (through SafePay invoicing) or escrow payments (with SafePay escrow). For larger projects, it's sometimes a combination of both.
For feature screenplays, a common payment template is an upfront payment of one-third, which covers initial research, the treatment, and the first act. A second payment covers the second act, while the third and final payment covers the remainder of the screenplay and a revision based upon your feedback.
Cost for screenplays and other creative services vary with subject and complexity, and I'm happy to answer questions and provide more information on any of my bids.
I believe in the value of frequent communication and am always available via email or Guru private message. Skype calls can also be arranged.
