Effective communication for a better Business world.
I'm Harriet Nakimuli 21 years old, a final year student at Gulu University pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance. I live in Kanyagoga a small village in the Northern region of Uganda in Africa. Growing up, I have learnt that effective communication is key in all aspects of life, all relationships depend on it for growth and success. its like fuel for the car to move. in business, effective communication is vital for getting employees aligned and working towards a positive safety culture. I got a chance to work with Zion Project an NGO that is helping in transformation of the lives of war affected women and girls before joining the university in 2012. i have worked with ZPO for four years now, first as a Child care giver and now as Social worker. I love children, and Communicating with these little ones can be a huge job, getting them to understand what you are saying and you understanding them is vital. Therefore one of the things that kills relationships and especially business is poor communication. Different people have great ideas but fail to put their ideas across, just because they do not know how to do it effectively and end up destroying it when they try to do so. we need to improve on our writing skills, communicate better for a better business world.
