I have more than 25 years of as a writer and editor for clients and employers in retail, higher education, manufacturing, healthcare, professional services, nonprofits, and for individuals needing help with personal documents. Specifically: btob, marketing, advertising, printed and digital collateral, speeches, marketing plans, fund-raising material and media releases. I ran an award-winning advertising and public relations agency (Hartt and Company), worked directly for major universities and ran a nonprofit organization.
I have written on the sex lives of termites, an employment agency, a restaurant’s history, the distinctive nature of a mall, an application for an architectural firm to win a major award (they won), scissor lifts, and a hedge fund. In addition, I have written speeches, and video scripts. have been a writing coach for individuals and groups including The US Lacrosse Foundation.
In not-so-short, I am always eager to learn about new ideas, products, services and organizations of virtually every purpose.
Work Terms
Available Monday through Saturday, typically 8:30 am to 5:30 EST. Fees range from $25/hour for line editing, $50-$75/hour for writing and substantive editing. Research and communications with the client or other sources are also estimated. Fees include minor editing of submitted material -- and returned material. A detailed estimate is always provided. Payment can be electronic or by check. I write rapidly and promptly, am meticulous about grammar, spelling and tone, and alway respect the tone and voice of the client.
