- Consulted to international companies for past 3+ years to improve their ISO and business management systems. Most recent was work done for gold refining company to audit and improve their IS 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems and to implement systems where none exist.
- Served as Senior Manager (SHEQ) reporting to CEO and MD for more than 11 years..
- More than 27 years' experience in international chemical manufacturing companies of which more than 11 years as SHEQ Manager (Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Systems). Voted one of the most effective SHEQ Managers in the group at the time.
- Liaised with external legal bodies (eg Departments of Labour, Environmental Affairs, Water and Sanitation and the Mines Safety, Health and Environment) and certification bodies. Obtained all necessary permits and agreements to comply with local and relevant international legislation and other requirements, eg REACH.
- Managed the process to obtain the necessary legal permits to decommission and close a chemical plant.
- Developed, implemented, maintained and improved ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems for 2 chemical plants. Applauded by certification body for excellence and zero major findings and among the !% of excellence .
- Developed modules and carried out training and coaching on ISO management systems' requirements from CEO level down to contractor and lowest level employees. Carried out training and auditing at suppliers, sister companies and neighboring companies.
- Programmed integrated Lotus Notes SHEQ system for use within local branch of international company.
- Audited ISO management systems internally and as consultant.
-Developed Induction programs for employees and suppliers.
