I am a highly self-motivated video games developer and low-level programmer, with a passion for creating games and general applications. My main skills and expertise lie in C++, C#, OpenGL, SDL and a little bit of the FMOD audio API, which I am currently learning to build a small audio engine. Alongside all of this, I am also proficient with the Visual Studio interface, and I'm currently learning the Unity Game Engine.
Together with my brother, we started our own small game development team called Lazy Dog Games, where he provides me with the artwork for the games and demos that I write.
I pride myself in producing quality work, by completing all my projects in a polished form, and without memory leaks. I am eager to learn new skills and techniques all the time, and I have the ability to stick to deadlines and deliver in a punctual manner. My biggest achievement thus far has been to create a small and well designed game engine using the OpenGL API.
Recently I completed a games development course at SAE Institute in London, where I was awarded a Higher Diploma, and I am working on completing my Degree in that field.
I currently work at SAE as a Games Supervisor and Lecturer, teaching students C++, maths, physics and general game development techniques. When I am not at work I enjoy travelling, reading interesting articles and books, cooking and generally enjoying and making the most of life!
