"No shortcuts. Work for it."
I started to work since I was 20 years old. My first job was as a Collections Associate for a credit card company based in the US. I stayed at that company for two and a half years until I decided to work for another company since it was just starting out. I thought it was a good opportunity for career growth since I would be one of the pioneers of the department. Unfortunately after 2 months, the project got shut down and I decided to look for a more stable company. Now, I am still employed at my current job as a Collector. It is still a credit card company but it caters to retail services like Walmart, Sam's Club and JCPenney. I used to be a Customer Service Representative for the same company for 5 years and then they opened the Collections position so I decided to transfer because it was my comfort zone before. I am in the same company for more than 7 years now. I started out there as n undergraduate not wanting to be a burden to my parents, and now, I have my own family and I want to be closer to my 2 year old son so I wanted to try freelancing. I know people who quit their office jobs and became successful in freelancing. I want to become one too. I want to work at my own time and be with my son most of the time.
Work Terms
