As a Software Support Technician for Dolbey and Company I am the primary point of contact and responsible for supporting software applications, with focus on the end Users applications, administrative applications, and server components of the software suite. My main objective is to respond to customer service calls and work directly with customers to ensure a mutually satisfactory resolution to software questions, issues, and problems. It is imperative to maintain a positive professional relationship with customers at all times to better identify root cause and to further the enhancement of the software. Another essential function is to maintain a thorough working knowledge of supported 3rd party software components including, but not limited to the following: Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Word, Spell Checking and Automating Software, Microsoft Windows workstation and server operating systems, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Internet Information Services, Dolbey-approved remote access solutions (e.g. PC Anywhere, VNC, MS Remote Desktop, Cisco VPN Client, Microsoft VPN Client). An evolving database of issues must be maintained and updated in a timely manner via documentation of issues in progress and resolved. It is my responsibility to properly log and maintain a queue of all issues I have been involved with. Currently we have a customer database of service calls and use another application for historical updates and research. These are important tools in analyzing issues when they arise and continuing education about the product. I also produce issue lists and other such tools to further assist our customer growth within our product
