Experienced Attorney - Contract Law, Business Disputes, Employment Law

I am a licensed attorney with over 13 years of experience. For 11 years, I worked as an associate and as a Partner in the Commercial Disputes & Labor & Employment section of global law firm, K&L Gates, LLP. I have represented clients in all types of business disputes and have experience with jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, mediations, injunctive relief, motion practice, discovery practice, and pre-trial practice. I also have experience representing and counseling clients in a variety of labor & employment matters.

In 2013, I left the big law firm to work as General Counsel for a Dallas-based real estate company. In my role as GC, I created employment agreements, drafted internal legal policies, reviewed contracts, negotiated contracts with outside vendors, drafted demand letters, managed potential litigation in the pre-suit phase, attended mediations, and advised the company on all legal matters.

In 2015, I left my role as GC to spend more time with my kids and have done freelance legal work since then.

I am licensed to practice in the State of Texas and am admitted to practice in the Northern, Eastern, & Western Districts of Texas. I was named a "Rising Star" by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Magazine in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2014.
