Writer and editor with over 40 years of experience on various platforms including advertising, newspapers, magazines, podcasting and blog posts.
I started off as a Jr. Copywriter for a mid-sized ad agency in Philadelphia, PA. My next several positions of increasing responsibility were at this and other ad agencies over a 12-year span. I then took 10 years off from my professional career to raise my children. Toward the end of those 10 years, I started to work as a news correspondent for several local Delaware County, PA newspapers and groups. I then joined a major, national telecommunications firm in a more administrative role, while continuing to write for the newspapers as a stringer.
Almost four years ago, I was sought out by a publisher of area magazines, for my combination of writing, editing and administrative skills. My current role is Executive Assistant to the Publisher, where I am responsible for content writing, editing, proofreading and concept generation. I also manage the accompanying websites for three magazines and also handle the podcasting production and scheduling, along with the accompanying blog posts. This is a remote position.
Three years ago, my sister had a double lung transplant and so I moved to New York to care for her. Unfortunately, she passed earlier this year. I am now living back in the Delaware County, PA area, just outside of Philadelphia.
Work Terms
My hours are flexible since I currently work in a remote position. Compensation would be dependent upon what the position entails but is very negotiable. I am available immediately and can be reached via the usual ways, which for some strange reason this profile creation platform is blocking my listing.
