Digital illustrator and English-Italian translator
I am a graduated translator and digital artist, native Italian and proficient in English. I hold a Master degree in Foreign Languages, Literature and translation (majored in English), which I earned at the University of Bologna, Italy, with summa. During my uninterrupted studies of the English language, I have started with digital art as pure hobby, dabbling in fanart of the movies, cartoons, books and comics I love; much to my own surprise, in less than a year I had acquired remarkable skills in digital drawing with Photoshop and Illustrator. I have been practicing with Disney-style concept art, character design, portraits of real people, animalization of human character and humanization of animal characters. Still today, I never stop experimenting new art styles and various types of text to translate. Once I completed my academic studies, I decided to move on two fronts, offering both my artistic skills and my competence as translator to worldwide clients :)
Work Terms
I have always put a lot of effort and dedication into my artwork; as a honest, reliable and active worker, I like to be treated as such by clients.
As for art works: a complete, fully colored and shaded illustration takes me 2-3 days on the average. I usually prefer to be paid half of the offered price in advance, then I start sketching. When the sketch is completed, I show it to the client; upon potential editing and approval, I proceed with inking, coloring and shading. The rest of the payment comes at finished artwork.
As for translation works: I can translate approximately 300-600 words per hour, but that depends on the type of source text and level of difficulty. The payment works in the same ways as it is with art: after receiving the first part of the offered price, I translate some pages, and show them to the client; upon the client's approval, I go on, and receive the rest of the payment at the end.
For anything, I encourage clients to contact me: my communication is fast, pleasant and clear, and I expect the clients to be as clear and honest with me ;)
