Designer, Engineer / Prototype & Fixture Wizard
I'm a hands-on engineer, imaginative to a fault, by degree and by natural inclination.
I have extensive design and manufacturing experience with medical devices, high-end audio electronics, and musical instruments.
I also have lots of personal experience in the trades, and with tractor hydraulic systems.
I could bore you to death describing my expertise in ideation, complex 3D modeling, 3D printing, injection molding, sheet metal, materials, mechanisms, fixtures, fabrics, foams & graphic design.
I could brag that my work has been exhibited at MoMA (really, see portfolio).
But I'm much more interested in hearing what YOU are up to, and to see if I can help with your project.

I'm mostly mechanically-oriented, and I also have a BSEE (so I'm fairly competent with intermediate electronic design and other EE tasks).
My particular standout talent seems to be the ability to make, fix, find, and/or modify almost anything needed, really fast, with my own hands and minimal equipment.
Add to this talent my 3D printer and there really isn't much I can't do, faster and cheaper than is usually expected. I can sew too.
Many people I've worked with have called me "MacGyver" because at some critical point in a project they came to understand the unusual value I usually bring to whatever the task is.

My default mode is usually to do most everything myself, but I've found it's even better to work with like-minded collaborators.
Which brings to mind another skill: I know how to listen. It's a deliberate art. I've found it's often the thing that makes the difference between intended success and confused failure on any project.

Lastly, I always strive to break the "pick 2 of 3" rule. I'm only really satisfied when I can do something (1) fast, (2) cheap, AND (3) really good.
