English and Spanish Language Solutions

Hello, my name is Margarita Gutierrez and I'm a native Spanish speaker with experience both as a translator and as an interpreter, my oral and written level of skill, both in Spanish and English, are proficient, fluent, and informed. As an interpreter I have done job both on-site (in person) for meetings, exhibitions, networking events, etc; and in a remote way, working with platforms like Zoom and others.
In my work, I try to provide a high quality and personalized service doing a form of translation that, more than a robotic word by word translation from a language to another, tries to capture the intention of the words, understanding the context and finding intelligent solutions for complex phrases or words. I can be both meticulous, effective and precise, with great attention to detail; but I can also be flexible and creative if the phrase requires it.
I´m familiarized with different accents, colloquialisms and general slang. As for the cultural understanding part, I can assure you I have more than a general knowledge of both Hispanic, North American and European culture. I have previously worked for over 7 years in the hotel industry where I met people from all over the world, which gave the advantage of understanding thick accents with ease.
My versatility as an interpreter and translator comes from my experience and commitment to do the research needed to provide the cultural, technical or any other specific knowledge or context that it´s required to translate the words in a natural, pertinent and informed way.
I also consider myself an extremely reliable translator who commits herself to deliver a high quality, personalized and detail-oriented translation, which will be accurate to the style, tone and meaning of the text. I can assure you that my translation work it’s completely made by myself, with no other digital tool than the occasional use of a translator or browser for very punctual words. So, you don't have to worry about AI or other tools.
My last work was in an international exhibition organized by the Chamber of Commerce of my country, Chile, on the topic of Innovation in the Construction Business. I was a personal interpreter, working directly with Mrs. Su Li, the general manager of Tangshan Shimai, a Chinese company that produces and imports fasteners like screws, bolts, nuts, etc.
I worked as her personal interpreter to help her communicate and connect with potential clients in Chile.
As always, I made the research about the company history, commercial advantages and their extensive catalog as well as the terminology of Construction Businesses in general. All this in order to give a precise and accurate interpretation/translation. Understanding the Construction's Vocabulary in both languages.
I will submit a photo of the event (the contract was made via Upwork) and two samples of my translation work and an Investigation Project on Spanish as well.
