Clarity first!
As a professional pianist, I see music as a language; I also believe that language can be musical. The words we choose can be inspiring or instantly forgettable, clear or convoluted, pleasing or disgusting. I hold English in the highest esteem, whether written by Shakespeare or rapped over a hiphop beat. The job of the writer is to communicate, with a purpose. This is the philosophy I bring to both creating stories, and editing them.
My novel, Choices, was published by Kensington. I have contributed to Broad Street Review since 2008, and have recently added blogging for Huffington Post to my resume. Throughout my academic career, which culminated in a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Juilliard School, I have treated the written word with the utmost respect. Although I declined an invitation to study Honors English while I was in undergraduate school, I continued to pay meticulous attention to the details of grammar and usage. If given the opportunity, I will offer that kind of attention to every writing project with which I am associated.
I don't have a lot of time for hobbies, since my main job--musician--qualifies as a hobby for most sane people, but I do enjoy cooking, movies, reading, and occasional drawing and coloring. I also enjoy doing professional voiceovers, when the opportunity presents.
Work Terms
My hours are very flexible. I prefer to receive an initial payment, via my Paypal account, of half of the estimated cost of the job, with payment in full upon delivery.
