Over the course of the last decade, as an Art Director and Author, I lead a team of artists and editors in creating the female driven, martial arts graphic novel for the company Jabal Entertainment, "Blades of Hope". During this process, I created concept art, thematic elements, storylines, dialogue, and the script for the graphic novel. Comic book artists worked under me to illustrate the dynamic and diverse characters I created, where I directed them on every aspect of the characters from their personalities, clothing styles, facial expressions, body shape and tone.
After the graphic novel was well received, Jabal Entertainment, hired me further to assist them in the process of creating a Animation Bible and trailer for the story to become an animated series. During this stage, I worked with animators and directed them in how to design and animate my characters to match the original emotions and personalities of the characters in the graphic novel.
Since then, I have written digital children's books, illustrated alphabet books in languages other than English, written a young adult novel and two musical scripts. Add to that, I have been a recent travel blogger as well as have created an online presence as an Online Art Instructor called "Awesomely Artsy with Mrs. Awan" with 15,000 Followers on Facebook over the course of the last three months.
Part time, I work as a Related Arts Coordinator, School Counselor, Art Teacher and Performance Art Teacher at a K through 8th grade Independent Private School. Here I also act as the school's Social Media Manager.
My talents range from simple and forward writing projects in blog format, to emotionally expressive speeches, to creative writing project such as musical scripts and novels a well as professionally toned letters and emails for businesses. My independence, leadership roles, motivation, team player abilities, and creativity all assist in my abilities to work well under pressure to utilize critical thinking skills.
