This quote perfectly sums up my transition from a pure Finance background to one in Product.

After graduating from IIM Rohtak, I worked in the finance industry for 6 years. Around 2019, when OakNorth was exploring whether a services-led or a product-led approach would be beneficial for the company, I expressed my interest to transition to a Product role. I wanted to leverage my domain knowledge in banking & finance and make amazing products.

I made a great B2B SaaS product for our US banking clients that enabled them to identify risk in their loan book using a forward-look view. I enabled sales exceeding £3mn a year.

Last year, OakNorth Bank started working on an ambitious goal to digitise its lending process. I launched a semi-automated Buy-to-Let Credit Underwriting tool that contributed £8mn in additional loans (60% more than target).

I am excited about what GenAI and Large Language Models have in store for us, especially in Product Management. I see a transition happening where PMs would mainly be focussing on the strategy, vision, and customer problems while documentation and other tasks would largely get automated.

Work Terms

I prefer to work in India hours starting 7am in the morning to 11pm. However, depending on the requirements of the role, I am flexible to adjust these hours depending on the overlap requirement.

My rate is $100 per hour. However, if the project duration is long and the relationship is stable, I am open to reconsider this rate.

Payment Terms: Transfers to bank account (can share a W8-BEN form if required) or to my paypal account.
