IT Project/Program Management specialist with 15 years experience in both consulting and in practice

Patrick Savard has extensive experience in technology management both as a consultant and in practice, with strong capabilities in IT Project/Program Management with a secondary specialty in IT Service Management (ITSM). Patrick is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Patrick spent most of his career working in information technology at McGraw-Hill and CIGNA. He established and lead a program support office for two major change efforts and service management implementations for separate IT organizations. In addition, he established and managed IT PMOs at both companies.

He started his career as an IT professional in IT financial management at CIGNA. Patrick’s first taste of working in an operations organization was as a program lead for a major re-engineering effort to improve healthcare systems production performance at CIGNA. This program was his introduction to IT Service Management, deploying 15 ITIL processes. It resulted in savings of $20M while improving infrastructure availability and performance for business operations and product delivery. At McGraw-Hill, Patrick established and lead an IT Service Management organization.

In addition, he was program lead over a major change effort to optimize and improve systems performance from a consolidation of operations organizations. The program resulted in over $160M of cost optimization and operational efficiencies over 5 years while managing an increase in service demand from the business of over 40%.

Most recently, as an independent consultant, he has been consulting with IT leaders in deploying PMO best practices, and managing client engagements including managed services deployments, PMO/operations assessments, and technology deployments.

Patrick is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University and Master of Business Administration in Managerial Finance from Drexel University. He holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications. In addition, Patrick is a graduate of the Regional Leadership Forum (RLF) of the Society of Information Management.

- Hours of Operation-Work client hours and available nights and weeks if required.
- Billing:Time tracking for hours worked and billed. Agreed maximum hours/week at signing of agreement, if required; Rate x hours per week/month. Invoice sent out first week of the following month of the work, net 30
