"I struggled with finding the right form for three of my short stories for over a year, and workshopped them with two different groups of writers and professors. I'd begun to think these stories would never find an audience or a home. Rachel insisted I not give up on them and so I accepted her offer
to provide feedback and creative editing. She almost immediately explained what she felt the problem was with one (which no one else had been able to do, including me). Her opinion felt spot on. For the other two pieces, she offered a very creative suggestion on form that was eye opening. I ended up merging them into one story and this revised piece was selected as a finalist for the first national writing contest I submitted them to. So of course Rachel is my go-to editor now.
