If you find a product difficult to use, it's not your fault, it's because the product is defective. Good products conform to the customer.

My interests are in new music, particularly riot grrl and other alternative; sports, particularly baseball; literature; working with children and seniors; STEM, politics, and world affairs. My favorites in these areas are Sleater-Kinney, baseball history and strategy and The Houston Astros, Camus and Seuss, ESL and usability, science and technology, and progressive politics backed by study of philosophy in general and understanding of different forms of government and varying political views - I like both Bernie Sanders and George Will. I am familiar with world events on every continent - I was an advocate for the ANC and against apartheid many years before the release of Nelson Mandela. I have travelled throughout the USA, Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean, and I have lived in Westminster and Minneapolis but most of my life I have lived in Houston.
I am a third wave feminist, I support Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ rights, and the most important thing I do for my community is to treat the homeless with dignity, empathy, and direct eye contact. I am atheist but I support religion where it fosters fellowship and introspection.
Many people think I am the funniest person they know, and others think I am not the least bit funny. I do not eat animals and I do not harm flies. I enjoy listening to babies and seniors and trying to see things through their eyes.
