I am a business graduate with over 10 years of experience in Accounting/ bookkeeping and financial management across various organizations in the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. I possess expert-level proficiency in MS Excel as well as desktop and cloud-based accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, Sage. I am well familiar with US GAAP and IFRS.
Essential Job Responsibilities:-
Maintaining Financial Records:
Recording financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, into accounting software or ledgers.
Bank Reconciliation:
Ensuring that bank statements reconcile with the company's books by comparing transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Accounts Payable:
Managing payments owed by the company to suppliers, vendors, and creditors. This involves recording invoices, verifying expenses, and processing payments.
Accounts Receivable:
Handling payments owed to the company by customers or clients. This includes issuing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
Payroll Processing:
Calculating employee wages, taxes, and deductions, and ensuring timely and accurate payment. This may also involve maintaining payroll records and preparing tax filings.
Financial Reporting:
Generating financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, provide insights into the company's financial health.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to help management make informed decisions about resource allocation and strategic planning.
Tax Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations by preparing and filing tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax
Financial Analysis:
Analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. This may involve conducting variance analysis, ratio analysis, and other financial metrics.
Audit Support:
Assisting with internal or external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support to auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial records.
Inventory Management:
Recording and monitoring inventory levels, conducting periodic inventory counts, and reconciling inventory records with physical counts
Financial Software Management:
Maintaining and updating accounting software systems, ensuring data accuracy, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
Compliance and Regulation:
Staying informed about changes in accounting standards, financial regulations, and compliance requirements, and ensuring the company's financial practices adhere to these standards.
Communication: Collaborating with other departments, management, and external stakeholders to provide financial information, answer queries, and support decision-making processes.
Work Terms
I'm available to work with clients for up to 30 hours per week. I prefer to communicate and share data using platforms like Zoom,Keeper, Slack, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Gmail. For ongoing projects, I prefer to receive payment weekly, while for fixed-type projects, payment upon completion of assignments is preferable.
