I love taglines! Well, I am a software developer, web developer and designer all rolled into one, and I aim to provide a decent product at a reasonable price. Simple.
I've been freelancing for several years and have an interest in all things Web Development & Design, as well as Graphic & Print Design and Digital Illustration. I am what is commonly known as a Full-Stack or 'Unicorn' Developer because I handle all aspects of a given project from start to finish, starting at the design phase, moving to the coding/custom functionality phase and ending at the launch phase. More often than not I end up designing business cards, brochures, logos and the like for my clients as well, experience in the Printing Industry being part of my skills arsenal.
I specialize mainly in Web Development for the WordPress platform. This includes Custom Theme Design & Development, Plug-In Development and implementation/creation of custom functionality on websites as specified by my clients. I have designed and built all manner of websites, from basic informational websites for small businesses to highly customized and specialized online recruitment platforms, which in essence are closer to actual web applications than to standard websites due to the sheer complexity of the coding involved in creating these types of sites.
I specifically focus on designing and developing websites which are easy to use, user friendly and clean. Mobile optimization is at the core of my design and development processes since more than 50% of website visitors use mobile phones and tablets to visit websites. Not having a responsive website means potentially losing 50% of your possible turnover, so website responsiveness is part and parcel of my web development journey on every project.
Languages I specialize in: PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & jQuery.
Platforms I specialize in: WordPress, WooCommerce & MySQL
Responsive frameworks I use: Twitter's Bootstrap
Software I work in: Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw, NetBeans IDE & WAMP
Work Terms
I work Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm SAST and my preferred method of communication is Skype.
As far as payment is concerned, I am not sure how Guru.com works, but normally for both hourly and fixed budget projects I require 50% of the agreed total amount to be placed in escrow/provided as deposit to ensure that I have peace of mind and also that your spot is secured in the queue.
I am fairly busy and as such do not have time to waste on doing work for folks who are not willing to pay for it. In saying that, if for some reason you are not satisfied with my work you won't have to pay, simple as that, but that also means that any work done up to that point remains my property.
I believe in honesty, integrity and doing my best possible work for every client. However, in order to meet a client's needs he or she also needs to come to the party and provide every last bit of information I will need in order to do my job and do it well, whether that information is written, graphical or otherwise.
The bottom line is this: the more complicated a particular task, the more you will pay, as simple as that. Yes, I am selling my skills, but those skills take time to implement properly and it is the time you end up paying for.
Thanks for reading this and thank you for considering me for your project! Be blessed.
