Database Administrator (DBA) – Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Interview Assessments Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) SME to assess and evaluate candidates during the interview process for database administration roles. The SME will conduct technical interviews, assess candidates’ expertise in database design, administration, optimization, security, backup, and recovery, and provide structured feedback to support hiring decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Assessment & Evaluation:
- Conduct interviews for candidates specializing in database administration.
- Assess expertise in database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Evaluate hands-on experience with database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
- Review candidates’ knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) planning.
- Assess understanding of database security, user access management, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Evaluate candidates' ability to automate database maintenance, monitor performance, and troubleshoot database issues.
Technical & Professional Feedback:
- Provide structured feedback on candidates' strengths and areas for improvement.
- Offer insights on their ability to design, optimize, and secure enterprise databases.
- Recommend suitable candidates based on technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and industry best practices.
Interview Process & Standards:
- Ensure interviews align with industry best practices and database security standards.
- Maintain a fair, objective, and structured evaluation process.
- Collaborate with hiring teams to refine interview criteria as needed.
Hiring & Payment Process:
- All hiring processes, candidate selection, and payments will be managed through the Guru portal to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Interview feedback and candidate evaluations will be documented within the portal for review and decision-making.
