About

A metropolitan Baltimore, MD based company that provides a range of accounting and financial management services that are necessary to successfully administer real estate investments.

Since 1984, Peter J. Balaguer has been the CFO/Controller for a privately owned real estate investment firm located in Baltimore, Maryland. This firm, during its 40+ year history, has developed and operated virtually every type of commercial and residential real estate asset, with closed transactions exceeding $ 2.0 billion in total value. As an experienced real estate professional, Mr. Balaguer has developed the expertise to effectively locate, evaluate, structure, finance and manage real estate investments and developments.


When one of the three principal owners retired in 2001, the two remaining principal owners formed a new entity to pursue new real estate opportunities. At that time, Mr. Balaguer formed BALA Management Associates, Inc. (“'BALA'”) to provide the financial management services (that were previously performed by Mr. Balaguer and his assistant as employees) to both the ‘existing’ entities and to ’new’ real estate entities that the two remaining principal owners created after 2002.

BALA provides entrepreneurs, owners, investors, developers, family and estate enterprises, accounting firms, lawyers and selected individuals with a wide range of financial management services that are necessary to successfully administer their / their client’s real estate and other investments:

Asset feasibility & structuring,

Asset disposition.

Since its formation in 2002, BALA has been the financial manager for over 400+ entities (corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and trusts) that have 250+ different individuals who invested in a variety of real estate projects and other investments.

Mr.Balaguer is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland (formerly known as Loyola College) earning a Bachelor’s of Arts in Accounting and a Masters of Professional Accountancy.
