There is a need amongst businesses and individuals for, not just pretty pictures, but communication through image, to promote, share and covey. That's what I do - real "image enhancement".
My name is Mariya Karchevskaya, and I am your soup to nuts image enhancer. That's another way of saying, I'm a graphic designer with solid purpose. I don't get started on creating graphics and illustrations, until I understand the results you're going for and embrace them.
Overview:
I can create illustrations, portraits, logo designs, web site design, product design and development, packaging design and development, and produce print materials and print campaigns. I am extremely well versed in manual drawing, painting and sculpture, digital design, illustration and photo editing with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I'm also experienced in Alias Sketchbook Pro, WordPress, Adobe InDesign, iMovie, most popular social media marketing platforms and other marketing tactics.
Details:
I attended FIT of NYC, graduating with Associates in Illustration and Bachelors in Toy Design (yes that's a real program there ;) ). My work experiences are extremely varied since I freelance and generally handle all the tasks in most commissioned projects.
I have worked as product designer in the toy industry for 7 years, I've also written and illustrated my own children's book, illustrated 3 sets of postage stamps between the Samoan Islands and the Cook Islands (the Cook Islands is currently in progress), am now the senior graphics and print manager for the Flow Show, a performance series in its 6th year, taking place in 3 different states.
I am the web master, developer, creative director and promotor of fireartsmagazine.com, a successful online niche publication for fire performers.
As a person, I am very sociable and think of clients as friends. I live design, but also have lived as a fire performer and backpacker (while working design on the road). I am very mobile and curious, constantly absorbing new lessons and trends of art and design and employing them as appropriate in my work. I hope to share my experiences with you via your project.
Work Terms
I work and am available for communication about 80% of my day. A day or so of a heads up is helpful for taking on projects, but I can also work with very tight turnarounds and immediate requests.
I will, however, be very upfront and turn away projects if I am overbooked. This protects the quality of the work I provide for you.
I accept payment through paypal and ask for half upfront, half at completion. I can provide a quote estimate before we get started.
