Bookkeeper (Personal & Business Finances)
About the Role
I'm looking for a reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeper to manage both personal and business financial records. This role includes everything from expense tracking and bank reconciliation to generating monthly reports and prepping for tax season.
Bonus points if you're comfortable helping with light financial modeling or pricing insights for a web-based application currently in development.
Responsibilities
Manage personal and business accounts
Reconcile bank, credit card, and payment processor statements
Categorize transactions accurately
Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Coordinate with a CPA for tax filing prep
Maintain organized digital records (e.g., receipts, invoices, contracts)
(Optional) Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, or app pricing research
Requirements
Proven experience with personal and small business bookkeeping
Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, or Excel
Strong organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of Oman tax categories and small business financial workflows
Trustworthy and discreet with sensitive financial info
Nice to Have
Familiarity with tech startups or SaaS/web app models
Comfortable advising on cost analysis or pricing strategy
Experience with Stripe, PayPal, or other online payment tools
